Privacy policy

TeamRide collects only what is strictly needed to organise a carpool. No advertising, no reselling, no audience tracking by third parties.

This is a translation for convenience. In case of doubt, the French version prevails.

Controller

Data collected

• Your profile: email address (for login by link), first name, last name, phone number and town.
• Events and rides: name, date, times and venue of the event; departure town, meeting point, number of seats; passengers' names, message to the driver and pick-up address, if you provide them.
• Security: your IP address and your email when you request a login link, to limit abuse. These records are erased after 24 hours.

Who sees what

• Anyone with the event link, until the day of the event: the event, departure towns, times, drivers' first names and free seats.
• Members of the same ride only: the meeting point, full names, phone numbers and messages.
• The driver only: the address where you ask to be picked up.

Event links are private and are not indexed by search engines. From the next day, an event is only visible to its organiser, its drivers and its passengers.

Cookies

Technical cookies only: tr_sess (session, erased when the browser closes), tr_remember (stay logged in, 1 year at most) and tr_lang, which remembers the chosen language (1 year). The browser also keeps, locally, a counter for the swipe hint and, for the life of the tab, the campaign parameters (UTM) of your arrival. No advertising or statistics cookies. Administrators' devices also receive a technical cookie that excludes them from the statistics.

Audience measurement

We count page views and visits to improve TeamRide, without cookies and without any external service. Your IP address is not stored: it is only used, together with the browser type, to compute an anonymous fingerprint renewed every month. We also record the landing page, the referring site, the device type (mobile or computer) and campaign parameters (UTM). These statistics are erased after 13 months.

Reports and suspensions

A report records the event, the reason and any details given; the organiser does not know who sent it. An account suspended for inappropriate use has its email address kept to prevent it from signing up again.

Hosting

TeamRide is designed, developed and hosted in Switzerland. The website, the database and email sending are with Infomaniak, a Swiss host: your data is stored in Switzerland.

External services

The "Open in Maps", "WhatsApp" and "Estimate the travel time" buttons open Google Maps or WhatsApp. These services apply their own rules; TeamRide sends them nothing until you click.

Retention

• Login link: valid for 15 minutes, usable only once.
• Event deleted by its organiser: erased with all its rides and bookings.
• Profile: kept as long as you use TeamRide. You can delete it yourself from your profile ("Delete my profile"): your bookings, your rides and the events you organise are erased with it.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you can access, correct or have your data deleted. Your profile can be edited and deleted directly in TeamRide; for anything else, write to info@teamride.ch. Reply within 30 days.
